What is a goddess? 
Traditionally in Wicca, the Goddess is seen as the Triple Goddess. She has three forms: the maiden, the mother and the crone. Representing the 3 stages of life and is considered a 'fertility' goddess. She can be associated as any goddess (like Hecate), or she can represent multiple. 
Throughout the year the goddess plays a role in all eight sabbats and is often associated with the moon also. 

This goddess, is known as the luna goddess, it represents wisdom and magical power. The spiral featured, represents growth and evolution and her belly contains the light within darkness. Her hands above her head create a halo of sacred knowledge.
